Mix it up! Eclectic contrasts have always been the essence of interior design, especially with accessories. However, when buying online it can be very difficult to visualize just how things are going to look together, so we are happy to photograph any grouping of pillows for you and email you a photo. We're also happy to come up with our own selection of pillows for you, based on your decorating style or colour scheme. Just email us.
A note about our prices: This site is in Canadian dollars. We provide approximate US prices below, but these fluctuate a bit daily so to be sure, you can work out the exchange to your own currency - click here.
Another note on prices:
Not all pillows are created equal. Our prices reflect the excellent quality of our collectible vintage textiles, the labour involved in searching them out and resuscitating them, the fact that our pillows are the same fabric front and back (this is unusual for pillows, which generally use cheap secondary backings), and the high quality and longevity of our craftsmanship, our threads, zippers and filings. All our pillows are made from vintage or salvaged textiles, or occasionally from new organic, sustainably-produced fabrics (organic cotton or bamboo). They are meant to last and become heirlooms.
Please note: below is only a sample of our current stock. We also have many plain solids and textured monotones not shown here - please inquire.
Many items do not come in multiples - please ask about availability before ordering multiples unless quantities are made clear. Note that square pillowcases, especially 20", may actually be very slightly smaller; we do this to ensure that pillows look and remain well-stuffed when re-filled with standard-size replacement inserts. If you would like to order without the inserts, our prices will be reduced by $10-$20 and shipping will be much cheaper. Square inserts are easy to find; rectangular are not. Please inquire.
We use clean feather filling, not foam, unless requested otherwise. We also offer organic bamboo filling for an extra surcharge of $20. We have experimented with new natural fillings such as kapok, bamboo and natural latex, but we currently feel that not only are these materials still very expensive, they also do not perform nearly well enough - they are hard, lumpy, very heavy or feel like bad foam or those old-fashioned rag fillings. These are well-known issues in the sustainable textiles industry. We are eagerly waiting for the second generation of sustainable fillings to solve some of the problems of the first. Please ask us if you prefer bamboo or a combination of bamboo and feather or foam.
Our return policy is excellent. If it doesn't work, send it back to us for full refund, minus the cost of return shipping. Refunds are issued upon our receipt of items.
All standard 20" square textile pillows are C$70 unless otherwise noted. (Oblong pillows are more expensive because the pillow inserts are more expensive for us). If you need your shipment fast, contact us about rush shipping charges.
All our pillows have the same fabric both sides unless noted. Many of the vintage scarf pillows shown above have a different collectible scarf on the reverse.
Supergraphics! Above: all of our supergraphics are tough, heavy quality vintage cotton, and all are washable and are made with a high quality zipper. All the pillows above are C$70, with the exception of the larger blue and pink pillow at top right, which is $175 and is available separately on our site.

These toile pillows also have toile on their reverse sides, in similar tones, but with slightly different patterns. Please inquire if you need specifics. We make these pillows so that they look solid in tone, but so that each side is just different enough that it's like having 2 pillows for the price of 1. Some of them have both of toile's favourite motifs; happy French peasantry (Marie Antoinette's weird fantasy), and colonialism in the tropics.
