Ouno Design makes many one-of-a-kind items, so we are not able to show all items here. We make a wide range of accessories from vintage textiles and materials, including bags for men and women, fur scarves, capelets, hats and collars, and vintage pendants. All our products are designed and hand-made in Vancouver, Canada by Ouno Design using high quality recycled (or "upcycled") vintage materials, staying as close as possible to the principles of green, sustainable design.

The recycled handbag's strap is made from the coat's belt; the sleeves' straps and buckles are used on the side gussets. Original lining inside.
The bag has inside pockets and loops (for PDA's, phones, pens and notepads) made from the coat's pockets, straps and labels.
Complex construction, streamlined effect. Waterproof, tough and washable. Sustainable green design.
Typical trenchcoat colors are variations of cream/ khaki/ taupe/sand, darker khaki, navy blue, navy green, and brown. We try to use London Fog, Aquascutum, Bentley's and Burberry where possible, but all are equivalent quality. Thomas Burberry pioneered this style of coat for officers in WWI, as well as the gabardine from which it is made.
It's a little known fact that Chandler wrote some of his earliest detective stories in Vancouver, and that this is why it's always raining in the film noir detective genre, even in sunny LA. Our bag is great in the rain but is also chic in every season.

These large Christmas stockings are made from vintage or remnant fabric and are trimmed with fur remnants recycled from vintage fur coats. Most are tone-on-tone, all very elegant but also fun: cream velvet with cream arctic fox trim; brown Knoll wool with raccoon trim; orange Knoll wool with sheepskin trim; red velvet with warm brown mink; maroon wool with dark chocolate mink trim; palest grey or medium grey wool with grey persian lamb trim. Most colours come in multiples.
